Quality Management System

Engineering Systems Limited (ESL) provides Engineering, Procurement, Technical, Professional and Consultancy Services to both upstream and downstream Oil and Gas Industry.

ESL recognizes its responsibility as provider of quality products and services.  To this end, the company has developed, documented and implements a Quality Management System, QMS to better satisfy the needs of its customers and to improve management of the company.  The quality system complies with the international standards ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems Requirements, and API Specification Q1/ISO TS 29001:2007- Specification for Quality Programs for the Petroleum, Petrochemical and Natural Gas Industry.

The Quality Manual is the principal document that describes our Quality Management System. This Quality Manual has been established, implemented and maintained to include:

  • The scope of the Quality Management System, including details, and justification for any exclusions from the referenced International Standards.

  • References to documented procedures established to support the Quality Management System.

  • A description of the sequence and interaction of the processes of the quality management system. The sequence and interaction of the processes of the QMS are shown in the Process Flow Chart below:

The Quality Management System is maintained and continually improved through the use of quality policy, quality objectives, audit results, analysis of data, corrective and preventive actions and management review. The Quality Management System is comprises of the quality policy and the quality manual.

Quality Policy

The quality policy is the first level of our Quality Management System documentation system. The policy is stated below:

 

Engineering Systems Limited, ESL is committed to providing quality products and services that meet and where possible, exceed customer and applicable regulatory requirements. The company is committed to the continual improvement of the effectiveness of its processes, products and the quality management system to enhance customer satisfaction. This is achieved through:

 

a. An efficient Quality Management System                                       

b. Highly competent personnel with clear lines of responsibility            

c. Setting clear and measurable quality objectives for continual improvement.

d. Use of appropriate methods, equipment, tools and materials            

e. Use of efficient work methods, procedures and process.

 

The policy provides the framework for our planning activities, setting and reviewing of quality objectives and targets, management of operations, training of employees and relationship with suppliers.

 

ESL management is committed to this policy and strives to ensure that it is communicated, understood, implemented and maintained at all levels and functions of the organization and is periodically reviewed for continuing suitability.

Quality Manual

The Quality Manual is top tier of our documentation system, and is designed to define the Quality Management System, establish responsibilities of the personnel affected by the system, and to provide processes and procedures for all activities comprising the quality system. In addition, the Quality Manual is utilized for the purpose of informing our customers of the quality system, and what specific controls are implemented to assure quality service delivery.

 

The manual describes the Quality Management System, and is divided into eight main sections. Sections 1 covers the Scope, Section 2 covers Normative Reference, Section 3 covers Terms and Definitions, while Sections 4-8 are modelled on the sectional organization of the ISO 9001:2008 and API Specification Q1/ISO TS 29001:2007.

 

The manual is supported by standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions which are the third and fourth level of our Quality Management System documentation. Relevant SOPs are listed in this Quality Manual. The fifth level of our Quality Management System documentation consists of production, services, testing and inspection documents, forms, specifications and records developed by each operating unit. It is issued on a controlled copy basis to all internal functions affected by the Quality Management System and an uncontrolled copy basis to customers and suppliers and other external parties.

At ESL, We Combine Quality Management System Requirements with Products Requirements to achieve customer satisfaction.
